Corn Starch Vacuum Carpet

Sprinkle a mix of 2 parts cornmeal to 1 part borax over the entire carpet. Give carpets a fresh scent before vacuuming a room sprinkle a little cornstarch on. Allow the concoction to dry on the carpet for a few hours then brush off the dried residue and vacuum it up. A paste of cornstarch and water can be used to clean silver.

If the spill still looks to be there pack the damp area with corn starch and leave to completely dry this may take 24 hrs it will be hard to the touch. Chip away dry starch with a spoon and vacuum away. Apply this paste over the affected area and let it dry. This can work as an all over treatment or be used to treat specific spots on your carpet.
