Wood glue will expand and contract without losing its adhesion to the tile. When a tile on your roof breaks all you will have to do is remove the broken piece or pieces and slot in a brand new tile. Clean the surface of the tile with a rag soaked. Vulnerable areas include roof valleys and areas of penetration. Wait about 10 minutes for the glue to dry. However as a short term solution where you do not have access to a fresh tile you can repair the cracked tile with roofing cement or silicone caulking.

Also pry or force out any nails. The solution in this instance is most likely replacement. This means that the visible crack is siliconed up but the all important drainage course that is hidden under the lap is left broken and un sealed. It is lazy and it will leave another part of the roof exposed.

Repairing broken roofing tile instead of replacing means that the pieces can be glued together. 3 spread a small amount of roofing cement along the underside of the replacement and slide it into place. Most unsuccessful roof tile repairs are done without removal of the broken tile.
